Summer time means party time…80′s vibes. UBA and Deco Dance have teamed up to celebrate life on World AIDS Day, Sunday 1 December 2013. The party will be the final event in UBA’s World AIDS Day campaign: #DoUbuntu, a month long campaign encouraging businesses and individuals to enact the spirit of ‘ubuntu’ and give back for the month of November.

UBA Team for Westchester Triathalon – September 29th!
Ubuntu Africa is excited to put together its first-ever team for the Westchester Triathlon taking place on September 29th!
UBA has secured a limited number of reserved spots and will cover the registration fees, coordinate pre-race activities and training opportunities and provide fundraising support to each volunteer to reach their $2,500 fundraising minimum.

UBA was thrilled and honored to be named OneUP South Africa‘s charity partner of the for May/June 2013. We worked with Onesie South Africa to both raise funds for UBA as well as put together a day of fun and education for UBA children! Sankofa: A Fashion Affair
UBA was honored to be this year’s beneficiaries of the African Students Union at NYU upcoming Fashion Show, Sankofa: A Fashion Affair MAY 4th where all proceeds benefitted UBA. Nothing makes us more proud than supporting passionate young people and their efforts to raise awareness and support for UBA.

MUSIC4U Benefit Concert
Jane Jourdan, former UBA 2011 volunteer, was so inspired by her time in South Africa that, upon returning to the US, she decided to use her background as a classically trained musician to host a benefit concert in support of UBA.
The concert, in Jane’s home town Hobbs, New Mexico, was held on Friday April 5th and showcased classical music, musical theater, and original compositions to be featured by Jane Jourdan, singer, and Justin Ramos, pianist.
