Surf and Support!

 Join or launch a WaveAIDS chapter and surf to support Ubuntu Africa!

WaveAIDS chapters raise awareness and funds for Ubuntu Africa through surfing themed events and by engaging surfers and ocean-oriented people! 

WaveAIDS is an initiative launched by Bryce Philips, a surfer and student at University of California San Diego (UCSD).  Bryce was motivated to make a difference after spending a semester studying abroad at the University of Cape Town and coming face to fact with the devastating impact the South African HIV epidemic has had on children.   Bryce combined his passions for surfing and supporting HIV positive children to create WaveAIDS!   

WaveAIDS events are always fun and energetic gatherings that enable like-minded and passionate people to support HIV positive children while having a great time.   Read about recent exciting WaveAIDS events below!

•  Ubuntu Surf Night- WaveAIDS UCSD: WaveAIDS UCSD raised funds for Ubuntu Africa by hosting a fun party on campus featuring two bands, the screening of a new surf film, and a raffle.
